Colors We Sea, 2025

Over April Break, NUA Knights (NUA’s expansion program at Central), spent four days working in two utility boxes for The Ripple Utility Box Project. Youth spent time building skills focused on painting and drawing, integrating community focused frameworks around who their audience was for these designs, and transforming community utility boxes into unique pieces of public art. For the 8 youth that participated this was their first time creating not only public art but using spray paint as their medium. Youth created designs with young people as their focus keeping in mind colors and images that would be eye catching, relatable and fun for a younger audience.
