The Community Participation Program is a brand new Program created by The Avenue Concept in order to create community engagement, build partnerships, nurture existing relationships and facilitate public space activations in and around our headquarters and areas of operation. The Program is run by our Community Participation Manager, Jan Carlos Terrero, who is a Dominican Artist and resident who grew up in Upper South Providence where the Avenue is located. Not only are we building a sense of community around our location but we are also offering our space and resources, free of cost, to those Individuals/Organizations who need it.

These resources include but are not limited to:

  • Meetings with Individuals/Organizations (Board Room & Large Meeting Room)
  • Public Art Biking and Walking Tours (Bilingual)
  • Can Jams / Mark Making Tutorials
  • 24hr Legal Walls + Paintbar
  • Backyard Events (Clambake, Spray & Sip, Open Mic)
  • Public Space Activations (Exhibits/Artist Talks/Gallery)
  • Utility Box Program
